Cardinal Crochet Pattern
Although not native to us in the UK this little bright red bird makes me feel all Christmasy! He has the cutest little 'look' with his jaunty ' up-do' and he seems to make everyone smile.....
He sits 9 cm high when crocheted.
He makes a great desk mascot or add a loop of yarn or ribbon and use him as a bauble, a bag charm or a keyring.
He adds a bit of seasonal cheer wherever you put him!
A step by step instruction leaflet with photo aids.
The leaflet is double sided or can be simply printed out as 2 sheets.
Suitable for all levels of crocheter who can double crochet, increase, decrease and colour change. Instructions for invisible colour change are included.
Written in English, using English terms with a chart for US terms if you prefer.

A 3mm Crochet Hook
I used Rowan Cotton Glace in Poppy & Sirdar DK Cotton in Black
If you want to make a larger Cardinal the pattern works well if scaled up with a larger hook and appropriate gauge yarn.
