Although not native to us in the UK this little bright red bird makes me feel all Christmasy! He has the cutest little 'look' with his jaunty ' up-do' and he seems to make everyone smile.....
He sits 9 cm high when crocheted.
He makes a great desk mascot or add a loop of yarn or ribbon and use him as a bauble, a bag charm or a keyring.
He adds a bit of seasonal cheer wherever you put him!

If you want to make a larger Cardinal the pattern works well if scaled up with a larger hook and appropriate gauge yarn and if you're a microcrocheter he works scaled down too!
